August 25, 2020 School Board Meeting | |
Meeting processes continue to be modified in response to the COVID-19 pandemic emergency. A total of thirty members of the community will be able to attend the meeting in person in addition to Board members and staff. Interested parties may begin arriving at 5:00 P.M. on August 25, 2020 at the Educational Services Facility located at 2700 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera and will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. Attendees must wear a face covering.
Persons wishing to address the Board may so either be in person or through recorded comments. To make comments in person, please sign up at the door. If the thirty seats inside are filled, you may wait outside until the appropriate time, at which point, you will be brought in to speak. Recorded comments will be made through advance registration. The link will be made live on the district website (www.brevardschools.org) at 8:00 A.M. on Friday, August 21, 2020 through 8 A.M. Monday, August 24, 2020. Those registered will be called beginning at 5:30 P.M. on Monday, August 24, 2020 to record comments which will be played during the public comments portion of the meeting. The meeting will be live streamed through normal viewing channels (YouTube and Spectrum Channel 496) for public viewing in real time. |

INSTITUTION: ARTICLE IX - SECTION 1. Public education. - The education of children is a fundamental value of the people of the State of Florida. It is, therefore, a paramount duty of the state to make adequate provision for the education of all children residing within its borders.
